AREAS OF PRACTICE
CRIMINAL DEFENSE:
Attorney Grueschow is a former Assistant Portage County Prosecutor and a former Associate Portage County Public Defender. Michael represents clients in all felony, misdemeanor, and traffic cases for both adults and juveniles.
He has tried more than one hundred (100) criminal cases to a jury in the State of Ohio, with a winning tradition.
DIVORCE AND FAMILY LAW:
Michael is an experienced divorce and family law attorney with over twenty (20) years experience in this area of the law. Attorney Grueschow handles all family law matters in both the Domestic Relations Courts and Juvenile Courts in Northeast Ohio including the following matters: Divorce, Dissolution of Marriage, Legal Separation, Child Support and Spousal Support, Custody and Visitation, and Adoption. Mr. Grueschow also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem representing the best interests of minor children in the Portage County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division.
SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY CLAIMS AND APPEALS:
Mr. Grueschow, a local Portage County, Ohio attorney represents clients at all stages of their Social Security Disability and/or Social Security Supplemental Insurance Claims and Appeals. Mr. Grueschow and his experienced paralegal, Vicky Pendleton, assist, advise, and counsel clients with filing all the necessary Social Security Administration forms, appeals and reconsideration requests, as well as all of the clients' supporting medical records and medical reports from their treating physicians, hospitals and medical providers. Attorney Grueschow and his paralegal are compassionate and focused in helping their clients through this lenghty process of obtaining social security benefits and medical coverage through a medical card.

Michael is an experienced personal injury, accident, and wrongful death trial attorney, with more than twenty (20) years of experience in this speciality area of the law. Attorney Grueschow, before returning to Portage County, where he originally served as an Assistant Portage County Prosecutor after graduating from law school, practiced law and specialized in personal injury, accident, wrongful death and workers compensation law in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio for more than ten (10) years. Attorney Grueschow has tried more than seventy-five (75) personal injury, accident, wrongful death and work-related injury cases to a jury, as well as has settled hundreds of such cases favorably to his clients prior to commencing trial either through settlement negotiations or mediation.
Attorney Grueschow has the experience as a former Cleveland area personal injury, accident and wrongful death trial attorney, who now practices in Portage, Summit, Cuyahoga, Trumbull, Mahoning and Stark and the surrounding counties, to aggressively represent individuals in their insurance claim or lawsuit against the wrongful party or parties.
JUVENILE COURT:
Mr. Grueschow handles all cases in Juvenile Court including: Paternity, Custody and Visitation; Child Support; Child Dependency, Neglect and Abuse Claims; and Juvenile Delinquent Criminal and Traffic offenses. Attorney Grueschow has over twenty (20) years of experience handling cases in the Juvenile Courts of Portage, Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, Trumbull, Lorain, and Mahoning Counties.
He represents Juveniles charged in delinquency cases with both felony and misdemeanor charges. Michael also represents students who are either suspended or expelled from school and/or face other disciplinary action by the local school board.
WILLS AND ESTATES:
Attorney Grueschow is an experienced Probate and Estate Administration Attorney who represents clients in the preparation of wills, trusts, living trusts, special needs trusts, living wills and powers of attorney. Michael also represents clients in estate planning, will contests, and real estate matters.
ALL CIVIL TRIALS, AND CIVIL AND CRIMINAL APPEALS
Mr. Grueschow handles all civil cases, including trials in court and administrative hearing matters. Michael handles both civil and criminal case appeals to the Portage County Court of Appeals, Eleventh District Court of Appeals, other Ohio Courts of Appeal and to The Supreme Court of Ohio. Mr. Grueschow is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, and is also admitted to practice inteh Supreme Court of the United States. Attorney Grueschow has had experience in appellate courts preparing appellate briefs and making oral arguments for his clients for over thirty (30) years.
